ReplyDeleteI am a ninjavideo user, and have stumbled on the forums once or twice.I am not here to hail the site, but i would like to make a few important notes on why this blog is filled with idiocity and non-sense.(to be fair i read absolutely everything on this blog and all of its comments):
1.you seem to be angry that the mods are looking for admiraton.
My Comment: Is that too much to ask? the site is maintained out of there own pockets and donations, like many many other sites out on the web are. Is that a problem? NO. the only other way that they could provide this is to.. CHARGE US. plus lets face it, you dont need to donate or admire, its optional.
2.you seem angry about the whole banning situation.
My Comments: Its important to realise that the internet DOESN'T and never has, worked in a democratic way. They OWN the website, frankly they can do whatever they want, and for them to be providing these shows and links, in divx and flash format, i dont see what there is to bitch about in the first place.
3.You post about anything you find on Yahoo Answers (I'm talking about the virus post)
My Comments: I read that, and some other posts on websites about ninjavideo giving them a virus. Not only is this 100% untrue, but its easy to see the person who wrote that is confused and misguided. Its easy to assume and put all the blame for your "virus" on a website. That post kinda showed me that you didn't really care about the truth,or that your just as stupid. It seems your just looking to give ninjavideo a bad reputation.
But lets move on,
4.You made a post about ninjavideo being down for maintenance
My Commnents: this is ridiculous, every single website you will ever goto that isnt brought to you by a company will most likely shutdown and go into maintenance once in a while. The people maintaining the site are only human.

Yes, the website isnt 100% user friendly, but really your basing your hate on the littlest, stupidest things. You must be a spoiled brat.
The funniest thing about this blog is that you critisize them for wanting admiration, yet your the biggest example of a hypocrit, not only are you still using there site, your also asking for admiration and i quote :
"Well I hope that you appreciate the work I did in order to track these down." (Concerning the Phara photos)
It really does seem to me like this site isnt based on ninjavideo sucking, but more the fact that this is a place to vent for people who have been banned for talking shit on the forums.It also seems like this blog was created because you weren't treated like a king. Get over yourself. I read all posts you made about people being banned on forums, and I read those posts from the links you provided, and they werent even critisizm, it was full-out hate or just people being assholes, ASKING TO BE BANNED.
Honestly cry me a river, you people are pathetic. When it boils down to it, ninjavideo is a site where you can watch uploaded content, in full, with no commercials. And they do a very very good job of doing just that. The rest of the site is pretty much a forum and a community that is in general, trying to better the site, and they dont take well to bitching wich you refer to as criticism. Who Does? and honestly, is that reason enough to be angry at a site lol...

ReplyDeletephil is right. ninja video works great. better than any website I have used. and about that post where you said they got rid of the download link. If you knew how divx videos worked and were smart enough, you would realize that you can download any video in the online divx player. all you have to do is wait for it to load 100% and then click the arrow and click save as.

ReplyDeletethis is a funny blog, i stumbled onto this when i wondered how the applet works and how they remain online for so long. I realize they link from megaupload but still wonder how they made the java applet. I guess Netherlands laws help them remain too... or something.
and sure the site has its downs but so far it had the best quality videos working best. I also like the organizing of the shows and documentaries.
one thing is lacking though is a search feature.
anyway just my opinion...

I simply don't care about it, I was just expressing my opinion about the website.
Fact is; it provides me with high quality, fast download and well organized shows and movies and that is ALL I really care about.

ReplyDeleteI think it's the ad's, but I just had to reformat from a virus I got while browsing Ninja. It was ninja's fault I got the virus, my fault I tried to repair windows with a corrupted install disc. There was nothing running on the computer at the time, except an IE session with ninjavideo.net open... Avast came up with virus detected while browsing and it was all downhill from there...

ReplyDeleteBy the way, qss has divx quality AND fewer broken links. Plus, they fix links when people post about them in the forum - which means they are already better than ninjavideo. The fact that they don't have an annoying applet is bonus cake.
ollie, I would first like to say that the ads they use are third-party and come from adbrite and others that post to adbrite but i agree they suck,
ReplyDeletei would suggest to you to use a firefox add-on called no-script (is what i prefer but some find it annoying so maybe try adblock) to simply never load those ads in the first place.
though i like the main site i hate the forum which is one of the reasons why i dont visit the site anymore (that and getting a premium megaupload account).

I have to agree the videos on their site rarely work. When something is in 2 parts you might as well not even bother watching part 1 because part 2 likely isn't going to work.

ReplyDeleteThe REAL REASON is that the ADs that are THIRD party have Viruses, Malware, Trojans etc.
These are wonderful alternatives, but they still might give the same problems at Ninjavideo.net
If you use Firefox, Ad Block Plus will help, and there's also suggestions on the Ninjavideo.net forums.

ninjavideo is no more. Say what you want about phara and whoever else on there, but no other site has the movies/shows/docu's/much more in such a well organized and high quality manner. I don't know what to do without NV. You will be missed :(

True that Micheal, no other website has their standard. I just checked out video cluster. It is a NV ripoff, but with worse organization (due to lack of text i can't even use browser search). they also have less TV shows (Leverage etc.)

holly shit, some of you people have some real anger towards the ninjavideo staff, i personaly love the site it was well designed had everything i ever wanted to watch, and once i learnt abit more about divx i could get it to download the file once it had fully bufferd. for all you angry people who hate phara and all the wrk they did you can feel a sense of achivement cause ninjavideo is no more (RIP ninjavideo) as for the comment about ass kissing i dont know phara or any of the other admins they did speak a load of shit most the time but here is the thing YOU DONT HAVE TO READ IT if you are there for the videos then just download the videos if the manifesto or forum upsets you then just dont read it. whats the point of reading it and bitching, fact of the matter is ninjavideo was the best site had the latest stuff and it was there pretty quick, it had no pop ups and everything was in DIVX it will be missed

ReplyDeleteI am having trouble getting my mac to enable direct streams on icefilms though. Have tried all installation tutorials for safari and firefox, but can't get the greasemonkey plugin enabled. Does anybody have any suggestions/advice for me?
yeah i havent tried but mac just seems to fail on icefilms. don't think they'll fix ik any time soon though..

icefilms comes close with more movies but less appealing interface and i will shurely check out video cluster as it looks okay at first glance

ReplyDeleteI mean, really folks! Somebody is holding out, seriously. Because all of the suggestions above are ok, for the most part, but some are just atrocious and have all these pop-ups on your computer that you have to purge everytime you view a movie or tv show.
That is some bullshit! Why would I threaten my heart-n-soul(my computer) just to view a flick. I think that some of suggested sites from the 'posts' are the actual owners of the sites being suggested.
Icefilms has the best selection, but the mutha-fuckers are only using Megavideo, which limits your usage unless you pay their asses 'grip' per month. There's gott be another site.
www.zmovie.com is the surrogate of www.watch-movies-online.net, which was murdered the same week as Ninjavideo.net. Ninjavideo.net & watch-movies-online.net were my two favorites, however Ninjavideo.net still took the cake. It was the site out there.
So, can I get some help, folks? Please?
