NinjaVideo Virus Update

It seems as though NinjaVideo is once again handing out viruses to its users, but this time it seems to be done through their advertisers.

This is from a comment left by Chuck.

I believe the viruses come through ninjas ad network. I got a virus from them a few weeks back and stopped using then, returned maybe a week ago to watch something. Stupid yes... So now I just got hit again and after 30 mins have removed the trojans. Ninjavideo staff are basically being cocksmokers about it, just found this very recent link... http://forum.ninjavideo.net/index.php?topic=38871.125 basically theyre stating they don't give a fuck that their users are getting infected. Well fuck them, only thing ninjavideo has going for it is convenience.

User are seeking help from the admins, but as seen in this screenshot, they don't want to really help, they even threaten to ban users for 'complaining' about the virus.

Ninjavideo's Phara Unmasked

I know that many people out there, including myself, have been wondering what the real Phara looks like. Well I have the pics here for everyone in the world to see. These pictures were posted by the great Phara herself for an old video uploaders site that she used to be affiliated with before she started Ninjavideo. She is not the only one who is affiliated with Ninjavideo now that has their roots in that old video uploading site. The all powerful Afr1ka also posted on the older site, among others, before they had their falling out and went solely to Ninjavideo.
Well I hope that you appreciate the work I did in order to track these down. They are quite a few years old (at least one dates back to 2001), but I believe that they will suffice, for now. Like always, leave your thoughts in the comments section.

New Ninjavideo Helper Applet

Ninjavideo.net has just released a brand new version of their Ninjavideo Helper Applet.   This most likely accounts for why the site was down for a brief period of time earlier today.   The applet is still in 'beta' and is now at version 0.3.9.  One of the biggest changes that comes with the new version of this applet is the addition of a captcha code that must be entered before watching any of the videos.  This will clearly be a new pain in the butt to go with the increasing list of pain in the butts that seems to come with Ninjavideo.net these days.
Ninjavideo is claiming that this new helper should provide 'instant and super fast buffering.'  There are still many bugs with this new version.  Ninjavideo is now claiming that you must wait a certain amount of time between entering the captcha and actually pressing play.  It is important to wait this period before pressing play, otherwise the video will not work.
Probably the biggest disappointment with the new helper is what seems to be the disappearance of the grey download link that used to be in the upper left corner of videos.  This used to be a great and hassle free way of downloading movies for viewing later.  Upon first inspection upon the site after the update, it seems that this link is gone.  It is still available in some of the video pages, however, it is not available on the test video page for the new helper.  Hopefully, this is only a glitch and will not be a new adoption.

NinjaVideo.net is Down

This is what you get from Ninjavideo.net when visiting their site right now. I do not doubt however that they will fix it, but I guess their "awesome" admins didn't see this happening.
The site says that the Service is Temporarily Unavailable.  The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems.  If you have anything to say leave it in the comments.
