NinjaVideo Virus?

While doing some research for Ninjavideo Sucks, I came across an alarming post on Yahoo Answers. The person describes their experience with Ninjavideo and goes on to explain that Ninjavideo had infected his/her computer with adware/spyware and maybe even a virus. The person goes on to elaborate on the effects that the Virus had on their computer. They go on to say that they think that it was the applet that had done this to their computer. Here is a screen shot of their entry. If anyone else has had these effects on their computers or would just like to comment on the situation, feel free to discuss in the comment section.

NinjaVideo Helper Applet

Many have searched out there to discover what the Ninjavideo Helper actually does. There are different theories out there, but none of them have been proved or substantiated in any way so I will not spend time here to go over those ideas. There seems to be no real need for the Helper and all it seems to do is create problems for the users of the site by its sometimes lack of reliability. However, to be fair, the Helper does not seem to be doing anything detrimental either. It just seems that it is one more way that the admins of the site can express their need to maintain tyrannical control over their site.
