NinjaVideo Helper Applet
Many have searched out there to discover what the Ninjavideo Helper actually does. There are different theories out there, but none of them have been proved or substantiated in any way so I will not spend time here to go over those ideas. There seems to be no real need for the Helper and all it seems to do is create problems for the users of the site by its sometimes lack of reliability. However, to be fair, the Helper does not seem to be doing anything detrimental either. It just seems that it is one more way that the admins of the site can express their need to maintain tyrannical control over their site. If there are any theories that you have come up with please feel free to share them in the comments section.

The purpose of the helper is to obscure where they are pulling their files from (so you only see localhost requests). You can use a network monitor to see where java.exe is pulling data from and it's only megaupload (hosted.by.cirn.net).
